I'm going to host my project for a few friends. Does anyone know how much load a server consumes on a network and system, for let's say 10 people? Would a regular PC be enough? And would that put heavy load on my personal network or will it be fine (100mbit). If anyone ever monitored such or knows this, please let me know.
Also, if you have a cheap alternative for paid hosting hmu.
Whether it'll work to host it locally or not 24/7 definitely depends on your PC specs, so we can't really give an estimate without knowing them - as well as your network speed. Regardless of all of that, I wouldn't recommend hosting it locally 24/7.
However, OVHcloud is pretty stable if you want a rather cheap hosting alternative.
