Looking to figure out how to add infinite spells/charges to an item in ruse base, i added in volatile nightmare staff and got it working with bonuses and models and what not but i want to figure out how to make it doesnt cost any runes and just hits based off mage bonus with a set spell instead of melee smacking crap

Not familiar with Ruse myself but why don't you check out trident works (assuming this is an osrs server).

Maxhit would be based off their combat formula, check how they calculate bonuses and work with that. Since they don't already have support for weapons that autocast a fixed spell you could always hardcode it or rewrite their system if possible.

Look up where your magic is handeld and add a check tthat checks if the equipped item is the staff to the code that removes the runes and you are good to go. Then you need to edit how the server/client handles spell highlighting to highlight the spell when the staff is equipped.

will look into that i guess, im not good at coding but tryin to learn from this project, just tryin to make it so when staff id equipped it will use a animation then smack with mage damage based off users mage bonuses instead of having to actually use a spell at all or runes
