Could be a profile file in the cache that is used to remember the last user.

Yeah there is a remember me option ive looked through cache files and couldnt see anything obvious though

See if unchecking the remember me box will fix it. So make sure it doesn't remember your username/password. Log in, close client and check again.
If it does, then see if it is the new info or the old stuff.
