I've imported my Necrotic into eclipse, configured build paths and can currently play by myself. Now obviously, most clients in the past would have their server host string placed in client.java, but this one is placed in the configuration.java - I'm at least smart enough to change my ip there, but when I build it and .jar it (i've tried other methods as well) and send it to my buddy, he is still unable to connect to me. I've tried using different host names, my actual public ip, everything. I'm just curious if I'm missing something obvious....it's been a while.

is there some sort of rune-server bot that posts these kind of questions every week?

it's been answered countless times;

1. udp/tcp?
2. are your ports open?
3. firewall?
4. look for answers in previously resolved posts

google helps as well.
