That OSRS, this is the 317-499 section.

Try using Elvarg or Exotic, thats what most people seem to use. However if you don't have knowledge about Java I suggest you start learning that first because it is pretty essential.

My knowledge of Java is allright. I've done other object-oriented languages and the sources currently around aren't that hard to understand.

I've tried Elvarg and PI sofar. Elvarg client seems a little unstable to me so I choose to go with PI instead.
PI sure needs some fixing, like the skills it currently has are okay but contain quite some bugs.

I started with RuneUnity and fixed over 150 bugs/exploits on the source.

Can you explain a little why it'd be a bad choice? I've fixed firemaking and woodcutting to true 100% already.
Also, I'm looking for a great tutorial on how to repack 131 models and world with my current client.

You shouldn't use a non-object oriented source with an object-oriented language (Yes, I'm implying PI is not object oriented - it really isn't).
Elvarg may be unstable, but it's far more object-oriented. If you wish to actually learn the language as you develop your source, I highly advise you go with an object-oriented source (in this case, it'd be elvarg.. however I believe there are better options out there)

My personal suggestion is that you go with OSRS straight off the bat - you'll save yourself tens, if not hundreds (if not thousands..) of hours of fixing bugs that are caused by incompatible data. OSRS servers are hard to find as of right now, no newer ones have been released - latest was like #80ish. If you do get your hands on a functional OSRS server, I strongly advise you pick it.
Almost forgot, there's a #155 server written in kotlin only, however it's very incomplete (hasn't even finished player updating)

I just recently argued with someone over this specific issue on another RSPS community, it took me a few days of explaining and showing examples to convince the person that using a PI source is going to fuck them in the ass hard. After he paid me a bit of money (for fixing some bugs for him) and showing him a few examples of different sources, he finally understood and dropped his PI that he had been developing for a few months.
Just go with one of the latest released sources, they're mostly all object oriented. PI is from the year fuck off, built on like java 4, it's no good. >.>
