Assistance Requested for Updating Data in Deob

Hey,

Would really appreciate it if someone could assist me with setting up my current DEOB client and source with the OSRS data that has fossil island and inferno in it. Would really appreciate it. Not looking for someone to do it for me, but someone who can teach me how to do it step by step so that I can do it for myself and potentially assist others in the future. Here is a gif showing what I have at the moment, from my knowledge, this is the data right after raids. 132 if i'm not mistaken. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

All you need to do is update all the packets, the player/npc flags, and make sure player/npc updating packet order and types match.

It's not that hard but its not something someone can necessarily teach you unless you have a proficient amount of knowledge in Java and RS clients. You're better of paying someone to do it for you.

I have my oracle certification, needless to say I have proficiency with Java. Its the RS clients I'm not that familiar with, which is why I'd like to learn. I'm not going to pay for someone to do all the work for me, I'd rather learn how to do it. Thanks though.

Which apparently doesn't mean anything when you still can't wrap your head around a basic binary protocol. Their bitstreams aren't even compressed! I'm not even trying to sound mean, but how do you explain to someone that what they're attempting (and failing) to do is basic networking?

Well i've updated all the packets, in both the client and the server, I've got the client working. But my source isn't compatible with the 155 client yet. So idk how any of what you're saying is relevant, or helpful, but people reached out to me and assisted to me. Why waste your time and my time by posting if you're not going to post help?

What do you mean isn't compatible with 155 client yet? You did packets yes or no?

I did packets yes, but when I run the source, then the client, the source gives me a message saying "Invalid Version: 155"

What did you change about the packets? Invalid version means that the version set in your server doesn't match the vesion expected by the client. i.e. somewhere in your server is a variable that holds the current revision change that to 155.

However you asking this question I am pretty sure you didn't change the packets. Changing the packets requires a lot of testing which you obviously haven't done since you can't even connect. You propably only changed the opcodes which is not enough to just go to a different revision. This holds even more if you take a huge leap in revisions.

I haven't tested much, this is why I was posting here in hopes someone would assist me. As stated before, I have next to no experience with RSPS development, I am experienced with Java, so I can understand the logic and development of the code, however not having experience with RS clients seems to be whats holding me back.

Coding doesn't work like that. Simply copy pasting packets won't get you anywhere. I suggest you remove all packets, start by doing update/login protocol and then add every packet one by one.
