I got blue, red, green, yellow, purple and white partyhats. Something tells me you already have those too .
Why don't you just rip a model from the cache (or download any partyhat/whatever model from R-S), convert it to msq file using a datmaker and modify the item in metasequoia as you wish? Later you can just convert it back to .dat format using datmaker and voila.

It's Friday night, Man. Use the search bar more often... 5 seconds lol.

Depending on your client, you will need to convert ints

If you're using a 317 client you can just use code to recolour items, no need to re-pack models at all.
But yeah, lots of tutorials available, use advanced search.

It's telling you in hidden context "use an IDE". Simplest to use (probably) is Eclipse.

convert the ints to match current items that already work in your Cache, AKA Read the Errors, "Mix & Match".

It's a hard life when you can't just cut and paste, eh'

lol what's that error got to do with itemDef reference variable needing to have a capital 'I'? It clearly states itemDef is of type ItemDef.

@OP - you need to convert those definition variable names to the actual names your clients ItemDef class declared them as.
