I just received a phone call from a blocked number, with a guy saying they're an official legal representative of Jagex saying that my game, using my real name and having my real email, was copyright of an older version of their game and they wish to pursue legal action unless I take it down.

A few minutes prior I get an email from GoDaddy saying "Thank you for contacting us regarding your account Username / Customer Number. Please keep this information in a safe place for your reference." For which I didn't ask.

Question 1. Is this legit call from Jagex's legal department or a targeted attack to get me to confirm my phone number, name and email?

Question 2. What should I do about the server, I agree'd to take it down by the 16th, should I? I've never even had 10 players on at once, what about all the other servers? 718+ that are identical to rs3?

Not sure why they would call you with a blocked number, seems a bit shady don't you think?

Have you asked for any proof whom they can use to provide proof that they are Jagex?
    Keep your head up.

Honestly doubt it's Jagex. Seems like someone targeting you who has gained info through a dox maybe.

Not to be rude but out of all the servers why yours which as you stated didn't even reach 10 players. I'm not 100 percent sure just my assumption

This is clearly somebody playing a joke on you or something. Jagex isn't going to contact you for having 10 players online that's for sure. And if they did it wouldn't be by phone call. It'd be an email or something. They don't have any way of getting your number. Do nothing.

Jagex or any other big company wont contact you using a blocked number. The godaddy email seems to imply that they got your information using social engineering.

No I didn't think at the time, only shortly after did I realize I should've done.

My thoughts exactly, why not go after a 718, or a game with 300+ players. Yes all the information he gave can be found online using a who is lookup.

A joke; doubt it. Exactly, why no email first?

    My thoughts exactly.

Doesn't help that Jagex doesn't have any way of contacting them, no email or phone number (which isn't at 08 and charges) which I could use to contact them and confirm.

What do you mean no one is smart enough that you know? Also it doesn't have to be someone you know in real life. It could easily be a player that found out your information or even your staff members and are just messing with you. Jagex would never call you and even if you hit over 100 players consistently they still never would. And if they did it seems to start off with some form of agreement.

I have 1 staff-player and like 5 regular players, Joke's probably not the right term, as Proto said it's more likely a form of targeted social engineering attack.

Call them and say you have received a miscall and see what their reaction is. Don't mention the real issue.

How'd you mean contact Jagex? They don't have a working contact number that I could find :\
    Edit:
I've tried using 0844 588 8880 and it just auto message saying 'busy at the moment try again later' and charged me 40p (0.58$)
    Edit 2:
    Called
    0844 588 6690
was just really high pitch sound, hung up and charged me almost a pound ($1.45)
