Yesterday i decided to try and host my server on a VPS so i got a windows one with 1 GB of ram and 1 terabyte of bandwidth. All went well until i went to play on the hosted server on another computer. For some reason there is this lag when you click somewhere. For instance, when you click to another tile your player doesn't do it for a very short yet noticeable amount of time. I live in the U.K and the host is in the U.S.A so does this make a difference? Or is it maybe my RSPS(even though when i run it its smooth). Need a bit of help and advice and i would appreciate it very much thanks to everybody that does decide to reply.

If your server is PI, 1gb RAM is not enough, better go with 4gb ram minimum.

Not only PI, 1gb is even too little to run a computer smoothly, so hosting a server on 1 GB server is very inefficient. 2gb should work fine, but 4gb is what I would recommend as well.

It is possible for you to run your Server on a 1GB RAM VPS but I would also recommend you to buy a 2-4GB RAM VPS. Also when you are buying a VPS you need to ensure that your VPS has a decent amount of CPU Cores.

I agree with FounderOfRV, CPU Cores are important when buying a vps, not just the ram although it is important as wel..
