I see threads that post edited caches that claim to have things fixed.

I have several questions as I am new to rsps but I am an experienced programmer.

    1. Why are caches broken in the first place if they are downloaded from runescape? ex, missing npcs, not able to go through agility shortcuts etc.

    2. how are people editing and fixing them without editing server code? I thought the cache was encrypted.

    3. what is opcode?

    4. How can I fix my own cache? For example, the traverly wall is bugged and you cannot walk into traverly because of floating tiles in the air.

I hope I can get some kind of reply because not just for me a lot of people probably have these questions. I've been googling for days with no avail.

The traverly glitch for example I uploaded a photo showing what I mean.

    Thanks, Jason

    1. Could be due to numerous things: Corrupt archive, connection interruptions during download etc..

    2. Tom's cache suite most likely, or even by hand if the corrupted 'item' isn't packed.

    3. Opcodes are used for the sending of packets, each Opcode represents a different one. (Unrelated to your cache questions).

    4. See #2.

Thank you for your reply! I was thinking it would be because of corruption. All of the 667 caches I find have the same traverly glitch which leads me to believe a lot of them were leaked from the same corrupt cache?

    1. Does Tom's cache suite handle cache 667 for this is about the time of runescape I want to work with, the newer ones are when i quit normal rs. - my cache size is around 480mb

    2. How can I tell if my cache is packed or unpacked? I assume mine is packed, looks just like client sided cache except complete.

a screenshot of my cache is below, sometimes pictures speak better than words of an idiot lol
