    Is there any actual way to change the lighting of one area for example, varrock to the lighting of the new draynor manor?
    Help if possible pls just a thought of mine.

    The lighting changes in higher revision clients when you enter certain areas (gets a lot darker at draynor manor). Think that's what he means.

    You could change the player's lighting when they walk into that area, otherwise you could just make the ground floor darker etc to make it look darker. If you mean by shadows around it and such that could be done by displaying some gfx in/around it

    EDIT: I don't know if there's a specific packet to change the player's brightness server sided, but you could just create one that sends brightness amount to the client and it could be enabled upon walking into a certain area.

    There are even a few interfaces which add darkness in your screen. ids around: 12414

    yeah i'd suggest creating a packet that changes a field used to manage the brightness
