    Is it possible to host a rsps on a laptop? and also do you need to portforward to use a VPS?

    Yes, you can host your server on pretty much any computer.

    It might be horribly laggy, but you can.

    Well i tried portforwarding but it wouldnt work. the guy im helping with uses this Sky internet. I did all steps but for some reason the port is still closed. Do i need to hook laptop directly to his router? or can you do wifi? and also what about the VPS?

    no, you can portforward just connecting to your wifi and as for the vps. some do, but some dont. stuff like trentahost and shit thats found in the hosting section of the forums usually dont require portforwarding.

    well how do you portforward then? cuz i did all steps and i used a port checking website and it said not online. his internet is this sky broadband and it isnt like linksys. so idk how to do it then.

    depends if op's laptop isn't crappy(low memory etc), otherwise if you have fast internet, lag shouldn't be all that bad
