    Dear Rune-Server,

When I execute my RSPS in 64 bit java it suddenly uses a shitton of Ram, it uses 4GB or so after 20 minutes, however when I use 32 bit Java it stays at about 300MB.

I was wnodering, what causes this?

    Kind regards,

    Rene

There are certain computers compatible with different javas. The newer high-tech gaming computers (mainly alien-ware) use 64 bit. Most computers use 32bit. Just use 32bit if that is what your computer is meant for you won't have any problems.

Just making sure. I never really looked into 64bit java, I've only used 32bit.
There is some differences about them though..

Could be because of the set max heap size (if none is set it will use default values, which is higher these days).

Also the 64 bit version requires a little more memory (RAM) because of the larger address pointers they use.

The max set heap size is about 4096MB
I know it requires a little more memory but about 10x as much seems a bit stupid to me.
