Im simply seeking help to try and find the best aforementioned based server to start a new project. I was previously working on a 2D game and have decided that I have acquired enough knowledge to pick up a "stronger" source. Link me to whichever source you would highly suggest. I will be keeping a list of the suggested servers if they're worth listing and obviously thanking those who have kindly helped out.

Note: I understand that this isn't the correct section but I would also like to mention that if you are suggesting a source that you are already working on, and are seeking another developer, then I would be more then interested to talk a bit over PM and discuss a possible RSPS Developing Project.

I have heard the orders being this way (for stability and for popularity in choice for new people who truly want to try to start a new server) RuneSource < Hyperion < Apollo. It all depends if you want more content at the start, or you want a server that can out run the others. If you want content then I'd say it's the other way around (Apollo < Hyperion < RuneSource)

    Spoiler for LoL:

I was debating Apollo because of the plugin system. I havent really found a wide range of selection when choosing from any of em. If you could suggest a base that would be great.

I am starting with RuneSource. I prefer it because it is more of something I can understand. It has the packaging I like and it just seems better in my opinion. I have looked around with Apollo and I don't even know where to begin with it lol. And with Hyperion, well, it is very nice, but I don't really like it for myself.

    Spoiler for LoL:

If you don't mind me asking, what RuneSource base are you using?

It is more stable then most the common servers you'll find out there. But like I said, if you want stability, go for Apollo or Hyperion Apollo seems to be getting pretty popular I hear haha.

RuneSource is well commented and is quite easy to interpret. Hyperion is slightly more advanced, so I'd avoid Hyperion if you haven't had much experience with private server development in the past. Apollo is probably the same, but I wouldn't know as I've never used it.

And I'm really not a fan of Mikey's edited RuneSource base, especially as it took me a long time to get it to actually work. It's best just go to vanilla from personal experience.

Vanilla? And agreed, I don't plan on touching his released source in this life time.
