Hey guys, I have a simple question - why people create 317 servers and usually uses 317 clients loading 377 cahce instead of a real 377 server? Since real 377 clients have sound support, fullscreen interface support, yellow tooltips support etc. Because I see project threads and there most people are creating 317 servers and then I see they're using 317 clients with 377 cache loading...

    Thanks

Umm don't see why this is in help thread, but ok...

ot: Because they feel like it? You can't make people use what you want or what you feel is best, if this wasn't true people would've moved on from PI by now.

    Thanks for anwsers.

I think if someone would convert PI to 377 then like 50% people of this community (mostly leechers but nvm) would move on it (not me). Then there would be more support for 377 revision, but this is just my opinion.

By convert, do you mean to hard-code all of the items, jam the old cache with new stuff, and load it via the client.

or do you mean to change the login protocal, all of the packets, and everything else around to work with the newer clients.

Then, it's not as easy as your making it out to be. I've asked numerous people to help, that i know can do it, and have offered up to $75 to teach me, and they explained how long and drawn out the process is.

Possibly the packets, also 377 didn't have tooltips
