It's not a compiler error, it's something to do with the host/user/pass combo.

Here's my problem. I used this guide:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

No errors, go to log in (using forum name/pass). Can't log in, client says "Unable to connect, login server offline". Get this error in the server console:

error connecting to mysql server - Access denied for user 'mercury'@'hostingserver.perfectz.info' (using password: YES)
That's the error I'm getting. I have the correct host set up in my login.php file, but I don't know why the script is trying to access hostingserver.perfectz.info...

I have my IP allowed in the remote SQL connection, so it's not that. User/pass are correct, it must be the host that's wrong.

    Any help?
I wrote something witty but it said it was too long, so I just wrote this instead.

Usually, I don't know how to do these kinds of stuff with free host.

I get paid hosting; you need to add your IP to the Remote SQL

I put my ip in allowed remote sql connections, if that's what you mean.
