I just don't Get it.

Well I would be more then happy to help you with any server issues you run across or explain a few things add my skype alex.ulin
Try to start a project with someone who is experienced and learn off them.
Would take some time for you to develop a server that gain enough players to receive decent donations, I wouldn't aim there yet. You need to take Java step by step, it's a bastard and however hard you try, it'll stop you at one point and you'll have to move onto another thing.
