    ok i have a problem with my chat idk how it really happens yet but somebody was talking to me but it didn't show text above head or in the chatbox but i checked chatlogs and it was there but i can hear other people talking and no they aren't muted. (staff on server found this so idk fully).

    Maybe when you added the chat logs you removed the method that queues the message to be updated to everyone else. In the 317 protocol it displays the message on the client as the person typed it so when it sends it to the server the server sends it to everybody but the user. Anyway just look at your incoming packets (opcode 4) and compare it to a previous/backup source you have and see if you accidentally removed anything.
