Bump.
Still haven't figured it out.

So, I downloaded DevastationRS to use for my server base. Looked like a nice source.
Problem is, no matter what I do, I can't get the client to connect to anything other than localhost. Everything has been changed from "127.0.0.1" to my server IP, yet everyone else is still unable to connect to the server. Yes, I'm port forewarded correctly, I've done this at least 50 times. I know that that's not the problem, because even after I change the IP, I'm still able to connect to myself.
Is this some sort of anti-leach or what? I'm sure given enough time I could fix it, but I figured I'd post here to make sure I wasn't doing anything incredibly stupid.
Thanks in advance,
Chandler
Bump.
Still haven't figured it out.
firewall?
Nope.
But that's clearly not the problem. Like I said, no matter what I change, I'm still able to connect to myself.
This is getting extremely frustrating. I've been at it for 5 hours today.
some computers cant send packets to them self like my freind cant connect though his own ip but others can. so ask a freind to try to connect or use runelocus status checker
I've hosted a server off of this computer tons of times. It's not my computer, it's the client.
RL status checker says the server is online. But it's like the client is totally ignoring the IP and connecting to localhost anyway.
I have this same exact problem, I'm using a Delta Base and my friend was hosting it before then he wanted me to host it so I downloaded it and changed the IP to my No-Ip and everything ran fine but the client kept telling me error connecting so I kept trying and it didn't work, but before all this I use to host all types of servers this is the only one that wont work for me, I don't know why.
That's not the same problem.
I'm not sure if I'm being understood correctly.
No matter what I do, the client will ONLY connect to localhost. Even if the IP is my No-IP. Only localhost. Yes, I'm compiling. I've been messing with the client for like 6 hours, and it just won't work.
