    Hey, I am thinking of buying a new dedi/vps, I currently have a 16 core 2.93GHz processor, 12GB of RAM, it's a 64-bit OS Windows Enterprise:

    I currently paying about $600-700 a month.

Now my question here is as follows: Should I buy a dedicated server or a vps? How many cores and/or Ram should I have, and then my most important question, should I get a 32-bit or 64-bit OS and why? I am getting a Windows by the way, because I am uncomfortable with PuTTy and I am too used to Windows.

Furthermore, what host should I get for my new Dedicated Server? I didn't say this before but I am hosting a stable Riotscape with around 600-700 players at max, usually not under 250 at any time of the day.

    Thanks, your help is appreciated.

    Regards, Mark

12 GB RAM, keep it. Buy a dedi if you want a faster and more smother host.

Do you have any statistics for what kind of load you put on the server throughout the days?

If you're keeping that much RAM, it will have to be a 64-bit OS. IIRC 32-bits support up to 4GB.

Yes, that's exactly why I am downgrading. If anyone could answer my questions, haha.

You're not using much of the CPU or RAM, so you could downgrade quite a lot... Got any plan specifics? Or is it just choose what you want and they price it

Well I do not know whether I should buy a 32-bit or 64-bit OS, do you know which is better for holding a server on?
