    Hey guys, I am just curious as to what people in general or even you look for in a server?

    Like for example, awhile ago I played a server that had most mini games, a few quests and it was basically like OLD rs2. (No godswords, neitz helm, dbow, lunar, fighters torso, etc.)

    It had quite a few players, but it never seemed to reach like 800+ like some other servers. It was also hard to gain items, and when you got that item.. it was WORTH it unlike most servers.

    So what's the trick?

    Because I quite honestly find the servers where you login, gain 200mil and then buy godswords and shit from the shop and then go PK.. that gets boring in like a day... When they die, you gain like no profit, you gain nothing.

    The server I was on, when you killed someone and got a whip or something... That was profit. When you gained 85 slayer, and got a whip drop, thats profit.

    When you gained 99 in a skill, that was something YOU earned. Made you proud, that you accomplished something on the interwebs.

    Get what I am saying? Flame me all you want or whatever you guys do here, but this is just my opinion. I just don't get how all these servers that get boring in 1 day gain so much people, the good servers are left on page 11 on mopar. (K i lie, maybe only a few on page 11)

    Thoughts?

    I like a server where you have to put some work into the items you get.
    ::master servers are boring, have no economy/everyone is level 126(stupid)

    [opinion]
    Skills
    -Won't get a 99 in a day, maybe not even a week of steady playtime
    -All the 377 skills trainable, doesn't even have to be like RS's, just something fun and interactive, with multiple ways to level each skill

    Minigames
    -Each minigame different, if they're custom since it seems hard to recreate RuneScape's
    -Not kill a monster get teleported use a key on a chest
    -Interactive, and not all combat-only minigames

    Quests
    -A few long quests that aren't just talking to people and/or getting an item
    -Uses lots of dialogue throughout, and uses player dialogue as well (sense of role-playing I guess?)
    [/opinion]

    Anyway, these are the 3 mains I like to have. I would say good PvP & PvN but that's a must if you want a good server

    What do most people look for in a server?
    ::master
    :: pure
    :: pickup

    That's all they want.

    Or are you on about what I look for?

    Either what you look for a server or what anyone else does.

    But seriously, people really look for ::master and crap? Doesn't that get boring >_>?

    I agree with you polaris and ryan, fully agree. Quests, Skills, Shit to work for.. Best server right there.

    Do you guys like godswords and dragon claws?

    Tbh, I like godswords and claws and stuff but not alone, I'd rather have ALL 474 items then just godswords cause that'd be so much more content, enough to spark a lot of minigames, bosses, quests etc. etc., but I think you can have months worth of content only using the 7855 items in 377 caches.
