Hello, when I try to compile anything on my computer(Server/Client) I get this error.

    Code:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
    java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object
    Finished!
Press any key to continue . . .
Anyone know what that means and does it compile it?

This could be caused by a large number of problems, some of which may be expensive or time consuming to fix. I suggest uninstalling all Java off of your computer, restarting, then re-download and install; that's what fixed this error for me and hopefully it will for you.

Note: you'll have to reset your system variables too as they'll be cleared/altered when you uninstall Java, and I also suggest installing your jre into the jre folder in the jdk folder to keep everything in order and easier to trace. And just out of interest, could you tell me if you're using a 32 or 64bit OS?
*Ahem* I will not be doing that again...

64Bit OS. And when you mean delete the variables, then would re-installing all of the java things do that by it's self or would I have to do them all over again.

I mean that when you uninstall all of your Java, you will most likely reinstall in a different location (as this is what may have caused the problem) so will have to re-write your variables to direct to the newly installed Java.

To uninstall Java go into the change/remove programs window in control panel.
*Ahem* I will not be doing that again...

Okay, I'll uninstall all of my Java, then reinstall it. Will you help me with the Variables?
