i dont really think you can stop the null's, it's not really nulling your serve or anything..
and its not comming from players

if your not good with p servers i would say use windows
and it is the best way to use a source based on the Operating System
Most p servers are made to run on a 32 bit
so i would say a windows 2003 server
that another $35 per month for window 2003
