When you port forward on the router, you made sure that you forwarded the service java right?

I actually use the port triggering feature on the router I connect to since no one else needs the java service forwarded. And here's what gets mine working just fine:

Btw, I'm connected to a netgear router, although this shouldn't be so different for most types of routers

Try changing the "game or application" name to java and see if that works for you.

You can't just add a new application name to the exceptions?

EDIT: I looked it up online.

You should see "Create a new game or application" on the bottom of the screen.
Delete the forward you have already made then click that link.

Make a new application with the name java and put the ports that your server will run on.

Should work. Here is a link to the guide I found:

    http://www.portforward.com/english/r...h585/eMule.htm

Scroll down until you get to speedtouch

Change "protocol" and "trigger protocol" to TCP & UDP, also you need to edit your classpath, but I can't remember how to do that offhand.

I never had to edit classpath for port forwarding... that's just if you can't get your server or client to find where your java is located on your computer.
