nah a vps is a vitual computer witch mean its holds your server up 24/7! and you dont need to have Your COmputer online 24/7

I woke up last night (couldn't fall asleep lol) and was about to purchase a VPS, but when it's later in the night (earlier in the morning) I think a lot harder about stuff. And this question came up:
"Does a VPS require my internet connection to run?"
I use dial-up and I only have a limited time of use a month, and I was wondering if I have to set up a connection to the VPS at all, I know I don't need to keep my computer 24/7, Or do i just buy one and then set it up (almost as a team viewer as I was told) and then I can just leave it? Because I don't want to run out of time for my dial-up and have to pay a fortune to the company.
I know I'm stuck in the old times, with dial-up plus our economy is getting bad. So that's all I have to ask.
Thanks for any help

any decent sites and good deals?
site me pls lol:]
kk safe
Lol so it's safe then? lol.
If you're gonna pay monthly for a VPS, why not just buy DSL?
a vps doesn't require your home internet but if you use remote mysql or some forum of virtual screen it will use your internet but only for the time you have the screen open. A vps is hosted some where else off your computer so it does not interact with your computers internet connection in anyway. The internet that the vps uses is the hosting companies and that is why they give you a bandwidth limit which is the limit of the internet the hosting company gives you.
