It's possible. It's accuatly simple. But yeh. If you can use Linux you'll have no problems doing this.

I am hoping to start up a server again, would it be possible to run a server on a computer running linux ubunto instead of windows?

Of course it's possible, in fact, the most powerful host's(Dedi's) actually run the server on Linux! Linux doesn't have all that Windows crap thus lagging less; holding more people. If I had a Linux computer(Or even had the disc) I would definetly run my server on it.
Not all hosts run off Linux, it's more secure/faster but it's aruguable if it's overall better then windows, in this case, I'd say it is.Originally Posted by Deadly Uzi
