Nice tests. You're missing a few, 337, 366 and 368, but otherwise good overview!
Check out some info about those revisions/caches here: https://www.runewiki.org/Old_Engine
I loaded into Lumbridge (50, 50) with NPCs in the area and sent the cache files via ondemand:
289 - loaded - 2005-01-17
308 - stuck loading, title screen song as you noted - 2005-04-18 Desert Treasure
317 - loaded - 2005-06-13 Combination Runes/More RC Tiaras
319 - loaded - 2005-06-27 Recruitment Drive
327 - loaded - 2005-08-01
336 - loaded - 2005-09-19 Fight Pits/Bank Pins
337 - loaded - 2005-09-26 Tail of Two Cats/Port Sarim+Rimmington graphical update
345 - loaded - 2005-11-22 Making History
355 - loaded - 2006-01-23 Enakhra's Lament
362 - loaded - 2006-02-22
363 - loaded - 2006-02-27 A Fairy Tale I
366 - loaded - between 2006-03-14 and 2006-03-21
368 - loaded - 2006-03-28 Temple Trekking
369 - loaded - 2006-04-03 A Soul's Bane
374 - loaded - 2006-04-20 Pure Essence
376 - loaded - 2006-04-25 Wilderness graphical update
377 - loaded - 2006-05-02 Return of the Wise Old Man
Also, a 317 client will need to update the definition decoders to be able to load the caches >350 I think, I think interfaces added a new opcode and there's probably something else. In case anyone was going to use Dane's refactor etc
any chance you have Latest rev204 cache version? from yesterday lol

Updates:
* The archive now checks for updates once every 15 minutes rather than once an hour. New XTEA keys will also appear in the JSON/zip files every 15 minutes (the number of keys shown in the tables still only update once every hour.)
* I've added initial support for FunOrb caches (though I'm still working on importing the initial set). For people using the caches.json API, one thing to note is that all the URLs have changed from /caches/<id> to /caches/<scope>/<id> (compatibility redirects are in place for existing caches). There's a new "scope" field in each JSON object for this. Currently the scope is set to "runescape" for runescape/oldschool (due to the shared history). Each FunOrb game will have its own scope - this is to help avoid collisions between different games where each archive/index has a different meaning.
* Hallelujah provided a build 627 cache (slightly later than the one we already have): https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/runescape/936
* An anonymous user provided a build 566 cache via Hlwys: https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/runescape/18. We previously only had the master index for this build.
* Kimbothedog provided two RS3 caches from 2018: https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/runescape/937 https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/runescape/938
* Clienthax provided a new OSRS cache from 2017: https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/runescape/939
* Clienthax provided a new RS3 cache from 2015: https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/runescape/940
* Clienthax provided a new RS beta cache from 2013: https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/runescape/941
* Clienthax provided a new RS3 cache from 2013: https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/runescape/942
* Clienthax provided another new RS3 cache from 2015: https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/runescape/943
You think u could add an option to grab any missing files from nearest caches they exist in, even though if the version of the file doesnt match the original one? (possible with option to set max value for build number difference) + also including a log which tells where each of the files were grabbed from and possibly total authenticity percent for the created cache. (just a thought as for example many of the 300s caches are missing songs, and dont think they really changed that much)
Also would be nice if u could make the map button work for pre #400 versions, just so u could easily check differences between old worldmaps.
Updates:
* There is now an API to access individual groups without downloading a whole cache - e.g. https://archive.openrs2.org/caches/r...5/groups/0.dat. I've enabled CORS with Access-Control-Allow-Origin set to *, so hopefully this will allow people to make some cool AJAX-based projects. The response body does not contain the 2 byte version trailer. Also, note that for RS3 caches, it uses JS5 compression, not ZLIB.
* The individual cache pages now show the completion percentage for each index.
There are various reasons this is more complicated than it seems on the surface:
* How do you define the nearest cache? Older or newer? By build number or timestamp? (remember that some of the caches aren't labelled correctly) Or do you do it purely based on the group's version number?
* How do you deal with the point at which OSRS forked from the main game? There are multiple groups with the same version numbers because of this.
It'll also be quite hard to implement in a performant manner.
It is a feature that would be nice (ditto finding the nearest decrypted map file for one we don't know the key for), but it's low on my list of priorities atm due to the complexity.
The main reason it's there is to quickly check XTEA key validity. Again, would be nice to extend it, but low on my priority list - just doing it for the revisions with XTEA is already annoying because of the variations in the map format over time (and it still doesn't work correctly for all the revisions with XTEA atm).
