The server is simple to run, the community is just not used to multiple servers.
The update server is a must.
If you wanted to, and don't plan on multiple worlds, you could do without the central server and move chat handling + auth to the game server, but I definitely don't recommend it.

It appears you're using the wrong Java version

I cannot seem to set this up. Could anyone maybe help through discord? I followed the instructions on how to set it up but it's not working.
