You will need to increase your memory usage limit.

Help> Change Memory Settings > Set amount of memory to like 2084 > click Save and Restart.

The game server startup uses a lot of ram in order to load all of the json files and to startup kilim.

You need to set in your VM arguments more ram, not give your IDE more ram.

I have no idea what you mean by "running the build.gradle".
This is not something that you "run". The build.gradle file are basically instructions for your IDE so it knows what dependencies it needs to download and it can also preform tasks.
