Thread: RuneSource - iClarity

This is iClarity; based off RuneSource. It's currently just a starting point for people wanting to use RuneSource as a base, but want a little more content to get started. I'm going to develop this further and further until, eventually, it's a finished server.

Also, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]'s an NPC spawn converter. It will convert your previous server's configuration (.cfg) file into an xml file that this server can read. You'll need to change the xml's file name to 'npcSpawns' if you don't want to change, via the server, the file that the server is looking for.

All the standard features from RuneSource can be found [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

• Good class/object structure.
• All features that the standard RuneSource base has.
• Blake's "Event Executor" tweaked by myself to run on server cycles - several features use this.
• Graphic, animation, and entity-facing update flags for players added.
• Npc updating completed (Update flags still to be added).
• Walking-to-entity actions. This is a feature that executes an action after the player has walked/runned to an entity (Npc, object or ground item).
• Perfect, fully functional dialogue system.
• Item/Npc definitions, Npc spawns and dialogues loaded via XML.
• Player bonuses.
• Ground item system
• ground items reload when you enter a new region, taking into account if they are tradeable and who the ground items belong to, as to whether they show to the player. Stackable items work perfectly.
• Basic teleportation system.
• Item container system - the player's inventory uses this; banking, trading, and shopping will also implement this.

In the next version I hope to have:

• All remaining player/npc update flags added.
• Banking.
• Trading.
• Shopping.
• 1-2 skills.
• Magic teleportation.
• More use of objects such as doors, teleportation objects, etc.
• Any others that I feel like adding, or I feel are imperitive to have before working on the real content.
