If you want serious retention you want as many copies as possible. Multiple people self hosting + random hosting sites > Multiple people self-hosting > Multiple mirrors on random hosting sites > one person self hosting imo.

You'd think so but people back in the day did do this. They had no idea megaupload wouldn't exist or uppit would just remove everything. Most data that has survived has done so not because of any particular format but because the person really wanted it to.

there's no need to over complicate this. It should take at max 4 minutes to copy and paste everything in this thread into a spreadsheet.

Someone posted this on discord, don't remember who. But anyways, it has a lot of dialogue, not sure the exact percent. Plenty of other great resources as well.
