As long as people are willing to pay that amount for a custom armour set why would they not charge it? It's just like branded clothes, do you tell the manufacturers that they're assholes for selling expensive as fuck shoes that cost squat to make or do you call the people purchasing them fools? I'm 100% sure they've made sales for those ridiculous amounts and will continue to do so as long as the server is up and running.

Right, if this is just a cash grab then it makes perfect sense to charge these amounts. I'd love to know what type of labor goes into creating a custom armor set that justifies $800, or is he just price gouging because little kids are stupid enough to buy this shite?

lol that's an odd comparison, but in the case of branded clothing you'd at least get something physical to show for it.

but to your point, ya I would tell the manufacturers they're assholes for selling a shit product that costs them a fraction of that to produce, while paying their workers slave wages lmfao.

I'm not entirely sure what you'd like me too address.
The price tag on the product is 800$, sure.

With this purchase, 25% of the revenue that comes in immediately goes to our modeller whom works with the customer to create their armour set from scratch. That includes, textures, particles, etc.. whatever they want.

Also, if you look at the picture; the Scorpion Set is currently the BIS armour set being sold in the store, which is selling for 350$.
The custom armour sets that are sold get stats matching the current BIS armour sets in the store (which are all updated if that set changes in the future).

For the extra 450$ they spend instead of getting the BIS gear from the store out-right, they get a 1-ingame, customized armour set that they get to exclusively have that has top-tier stats and they'll be able to have that armour set as a cosmetic on my other server, Imagine, when it releases.

I know a LOT of custom servers who charge MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more for less.

Right so $200 to the person actually creating the product, and the other $600 goes.... somewhere else?

It's just a little bit fucked up how obvious of a cash grab this is, and your justification for it is that other people supposedly charge more. I sure haven't seen anyone charging more than $800 for anything lol. Imagine what else these people could be doing with $800

Imagine doesn't just recolor a set, you tell us what you want and we make it. Models from scratch take a lot of time to make to specifications. Also its a full armor set - Cape, gloves, boots, helm, plate, and legs (on most custom servers for just cosmetic 1 item is 150$+)

Depending on the detail and specifics the buyer wants 1 model can take 3 hours+ easy.

Goes toward advertisements, paying developers, hosting, graphics, etc? Running an RSPS isn't just a 50$ a month expense.
I figured since you've been here since 2010, you wouldn't be that dumb but you're proving to me otherwise.

    1. Just because you live under a rock doesn't make what I said false, other custom servers charge much, much more for customs.
    Want an easy example?

Here we are at dreamscape, where a PRE-MADE item is 1000$.

    2. Your little blanket statement of "Imagine what else these people could be doing with $800". Who are YOU to tell them what to spend their money on.

Honestly did my absolute best to think of something to compare it to but failed miserably All I'm saying is both are examples of what demand does to the price of a product, no matter what type of product it is. If people run their RSPS like a business there is absolutely no reason to cut their prices as long as their current prices meets the market standard and demand which in turn generates sales.

From a moral stand point I'll leave it to someone else to judge though, I'm not gonna poke around. Each man for his own. I don't think RSPS is the only branch where you can apply this logic though.
