Updates done today by MGT:
I've spent many hours on Osrs gathering statistics for Magic and making sure Dawntained gives the same result, which is how i'm sure the Magic formula on Dawntained is near perfect. Ranged will be done tomorrow.
Magic Combat Updates:
- When you freeze someone for the first time, that person will be able to attack you straight away.
- Magic formula is now near-perfect, compared to Osrs. One of the major faults of my previous formula was as a pure you would splash alot.
- Splash gfx is now more clearer.
Other:
- Armadyl godsword & Dragon claws have been buffed!
- Ranged hitsplat was 1 tick delayed at maximum distance. This has been removed to match Osrs combat.
- Drinking potions now has a fixed delay of 3 ticks between each sip (tested on Osrs). Before it was 2 ticks if you did not recently eat a food.
- Added 5 second immunity to teleblock spell after it runs out.
- When using presets with 0 bm potions and 0 bm food, it will no longer grab it from your bank.

Dedicated server has arrived!
You must reload your client to log onto the new dedicated server. The IP has changed. If it still says outdated client, please download the client again from http://dawntained.com/play/
Mage Arena Money Making:
- Battle mages have been added to Mage arena! This is the top money making method with 21k+ an hour with basic gear. They drop Mage's book, Master's wand, all infinity items! Surely this will increase Mage bank activity.
- A direct Mage arena teleport has been added for easier access to Pk over there.
Item switching improvement:
- Switching delay fixed. It is now faster by 200ms. Exactly like Osrs where it switches every game tick(0.6 seconds) on average.
I've prioritized the item update packet over other packets, which is why now your client is receiving the item packet faster than before.
Other updates:
- Can no longer drop stackable items worth 100+ in combat.
Like dropping blood money in combat before dying.
People were doing this in red skull risk fights.
- Some skills, you could bank and continue skilling, this is no longer possible.
- If you die by vengeance and you have retribution on, retribution will activate.
- Added a ::maximizable command, where you can resize your screen on fixed screen mode. Some players
had their client cut off at the bottom.
Dedicated server specs:
Curious why you would have set the inventory / equipment to update .8 seconds before, any specific reasoning behind that :O?
Prioritizing the packet over the other packets, seems abit excessive.
Most of the time switching and or other server -> client packets can seem abit "slow" or "delayed" simply because of the amount of packets your client is set to parse per "game" cycle.
PM me and I might be able to point you in the right direction to improve your games overall user experience when it comes to server -> client packets
