The downfall of Alora begins, removing Tom from your advertisement team was the worst thing you could've done.
He didn't do anything? Without his contacts, the server would've never had enough players to purchase these purchases you're referring too. He got the ball rolling from day one - ever since they opened their project thread, Tom was bumping it as much as he could; keeping everyone updated and ensuring there were reasons for people to play, and refer players. I'll give you the "Referral event" Tom ran before the server was launched, that got many of players and it's events like these that brought the first lot of people in.
just got to look at all his previous servers, tyluur mk2
Tom definitely did get the ball rolling. First it started with his Skype contacts. However, most of the members that registered on the forum, when the server was still in development, were mostly old players of Tom. He's a great developer and a decent person with a few enemies. When it got closer to release, posts such as this one made the forum more lively. From release, purchasing advertisements and contacting YouTubers was mostly his job. On top of that, Tom was always commenting on threads and generally being involved in the small yet growing community.
I hope everything goes well for Tom.
Of course. Tom did not do everything for Alora such as development, however he did help promote Alora and help shape what the server is today. On top of helping promote the server, he acted more like a community manager and did a better job than Blank. Yeah, Blank does help out with the staff team and support, however he didn't manage the community when it was still in development. Although it was a team effort, it is still somewhat shitty to drop a valuable member of that team due to money. There are always two sides of every story and everyone has their own reasons for the decision they make.
Don't make raw envy feel like a god because he knew how to spend Omnicrons money? As multiple people stated already contacting a youtuber and paying him a good amount of money. In my opinion Omnicron did the biggest part himself. Getting people to download your game by advertising is not hard at all. Offering them the content that makes them play the game is a whole nother level.
This won't die out if they keep offering the community what they want. It is known now anyways.
I think its not that weird that he kicked him out of the team. Why would he want to spend a lot more money on someone that is just basically doing something your community manager could do as an extra task.
ps; Im not saying you did bad envy.
