Considering its pretty much an osrs based server (same era and all), why would people play this over actual OSRS?
If it was a different revision then maybe I could understand. o.o
Cause osrs has modern content that some wouldn't like and it's not free. This is the closest to the original RS 2007 you can get on a free rsps.

I guess, but there's a reason OSRS gets updates. To keep players interested and new content to get people hyped. You're telling me you won't ever add a new boss or training method or whatever it might be?

Well some players (like me) aren't interested in new content. Since I don't play games 24/7 anymore and due to the low exp rate there are still plenty of things to do long before everything can be achieved anyways.
I can also set new challenges, like creating special builds, play the game in an unusual way etc. There is so much you can do in 2006/2007 without having all those useless osrs updates.
The reason I play a remake is for nostalgia, not to keep me entertained with updates I didn't ask for which ruin the nostalgic experience.

I disagree, the nostalgia wears off pretty quickly. Like I said, there wasn't actually that much variety at the start of old school, I can understand that you might want to keep it 'oldschool', but Melee PKing with dragon as top tier gets boring pretty fast.
I'm guessing the idea for the low XP rates is so people spend more time training in different areas of the game, but at 2.5x xp, is that really what people will be wanting to do?
Surely the ideal nostalgia would be bossing or getting a decent drop for the first time, not going "Yey I got 60 strength finally".

Whatever just my useless opinion, best of luck with the server though.

I can understand that the nostalgia would wear off pretty quickly for you, considering you're 18 years old, you were only 6-8 years old during 2004-2006. So you either didn't play during that era or you didn't experience it thoroughly enough to be memorable for you the way it is for me. Nostalgia doesn't wear off for me... at all.
Maybe not for you, but I still enjoy achieving low levels like 60 strength, it's a milestone like any other, as much as achieving 99 strength.

Well, that's lucky for you I guess.
And don't be ageist, I played the shit out of OSRS when it first came out not to mention back in actual 07. Tell me, if you have played OSRS and gotten two decent accounts like I have, the grind of it all takes the nostalgia away pretty quick, that's what I was referring to. The grind that people have to put in on this server with the current xp rates.
It's nostalgic for me listening to the OSRS music and visiting certain areas, you don't need 2.5x xp rates in order to re-live that experience.

I don't play osrs because I don't want to fund jagex anymore and because I dislike the direction the game went to, there are more reasons I could list.
Nostalgia isn't only about listening to old runscape tracks lol, but yeah that's part of the experience. I really don't understand how you can get satisfied achieving levels with highly multiplied rates, it's almost as ridiculous as botted stats, where you barely put effort in.

I can vouch this is the most active Remake server out there.
