    having the exp rate between 4x-5x would be decent, i assume you do want some nice player base that enjoys this game. big issue is the exp rates.

    You guys, SR team, ask for a reason why people aren't playing this. The people tell you, but refuse to acknowledge what has already been said in at least 100 pages, and when the people tell you again, you say the experience rate is not what's causing the shortage of players? Who wants to play a PRIVATE server with x2 experience rate and have a max of 5 players on at a time? Sure, your experience rate is already doubled of OSRS, but I can guarantee you even at x1 experience rate, you can get a level 99 skill faster than on ScapeRune. So, this leads me to wonder, why am I wasting my time playing a x2 experience rate server with not even comparable content and 5 people on daily? Oh right, people want to play for nostalgic memories, but it's clearly been shown that nostalgia only lasts for so long before you get bored after a certain amount of fulfillment.

    This project has immense growth potential and it sucks to see it slowly die out. Just do a revamp and acknowledge that your ideals on experience rates were wrong. Why let it slowly die, when you can have it slowly rise? It's not easy to maintain another world, but at this point, I think it's worth a shot.

    I do not see the experience rate of ScapeRune going any higher. It is already double that of the original game. If we would to increase it any further, the game would start to become noticeably unbalanced. We've worked so hard to accurately recreate content to the bone, raising the experience rate would only destroy that and make the game feel more like a custom private server than actual RuneScape (which is what we're aiming for).

    This is not directed towards you personally Hxrdcore, but everyone.

    Perhaps we're just advertising the server to the wrong crowed of people. Just as you wouldn't go to a Star Trek convention to sell Star Wars merchandise.
    Continuously beating this dead horse won't bring it back to life. Kris was right, when he stated your target audience is a small fraction of a niche. Either, broaden your scope, or deal with the consequences of the status quo.

    I'd invite everyone to read these posts here and here, and then the posts between pages 161-163. To summarize, Thing1 has continuously refused to listen to constructive criticism, condoned and tolerated downright childish behaviour from the likes of his team (Michael P and Crusty Rob), and demonstrably lacks any sort of integrity.

    Now ask yourselves, do you really think anything is going to change?

    Knew you'd come back around here sometime. Seems like ever since I declined your offer to be a community manager you've had something to say since. There is a point where criticism stops being constructive.

    Does someone of integrity argue that criticism of one's actions are indicative of a personal attack? I think not. You've demonstrated my point, well.

    suggestion:

    opening more than one world might be a great idea for what you’re looking for. i’m not a player however, opening more than one world where you can provide different gameplay styles might attract players who want to experience your game but not the same way you have it setup now. doing so could potentially bring in more players to the game and create a larger overall community.

    i don’t believe i’ve posted here before, so goodluck on the future of the server and may the odds be forever in your favor.

    This is something we have discussed. Another world separate of the main server and completely different, yet still linked together through private messaging and clan chat.

    We already had a discussion about how Michael edited his post afterwards due to it being misleading and incorrect information, which I'm sure you know more about than anyone since you are a "know-it-all".
