Increasing the XP rate — even how cjay had suggested — somehow equates to the perception of unreliability, consequently affecting ScapeRune's reputation, how? All whilst, of course, ignoring the demonstrable fact, that ScapeRune's reputation has already been dragged into the mud via blatant mismanagement, deceitfully dogmatic arrogance and reverent stubbornness.
You essentially pushed forth an unpalatable argument whilst telling us how you feel ScapeRune should be perceived. Thus, nothing more than a deflective self-fulfilling argument, likely predicated by your emotionally-narcissistic perception of ScapeRune.
Spoiler for Discord:
Further evidence of the aforementioned. Do you not have more to be concerned about?
I hear you guys and I am not sure how we are being arrogant, I have addressed the problem several posts before it and for some reason it seems to have been missed...
I do think Cjay's idea was well put together however.
With the current state of the server, I am not sure that a bigger community is what we need right this moment. We are focusing hard on fixing more bugs and finishing more of the end game content before doing something like this. If we sink a lot of advertisement money into a faster experience rate server while there is no end game content, we would lose a huge portion of our newly gained players (as they could potentially max out within the first few weeks). I am not sure if you guys have played the server yet to know this but we are still missing huge portions of the members area. The only bosses in the game right now are like KBD and Chaos Elemental ... We don't even have the desert finished for release yet and are still missing skills from the game. The F2P segment of the game is 100% complete but with an accelerated experience rate the server would be extremely dependent on members content and having pk gear in the game (which would require quests like Desert Treasure, Monkey Madness, Fremennik Quests, etc).
You could use that rationale — as an excuse to justify not increasing the experience rate — for however long you don't have a seemingly 'adequate amount' of perfected members-only content. ScapeRune may be long and forgotten about, by the time you achieve whatever peak perfection you desire.
All you did here was further demonstrate the point I've been making.

Yeah and also you can’t really decide to keep 2x for months or years, and then decide to switch to a higher rate, that wouldn’t be fair to the few players that you have now. Let’s say 6x exp rate, would be about 3 times as fast as it is now, but it would still be slow, with all the skills an quests that are currently out. Slayer on 6x would still take quite a while, RC would still take quite a while. Remember people still need to get things like essence, or logs, to train their skills. Prayer would take a very long time at 6x. You wouldn’t see anyone maxed for months. If you could come out with a new quest every week there would be content for quite a while.
Lol I'll point this out one last time for this thread; "this is probably a great time investment hobby for you, just not in the practical sense of actually running things" in reference to thing1 and whoever his team is. This has been in the works for 8 years now, 8, with this thread being remade in '15. Minimal hope for change tbh or a realistic expectation to grow
How many people actually play this? Like every time I log in there is nobody around. I just wanna know how many people are normally on at one time. I would play this server but I just don’t wanna invest all that time for nothing. Don’t get me wrong, this is probably the best server out there for a remake.
Are you active in our discord? That is how most users communicate in the game at the moment. We are discussing adding Clan Chat and have a poll running for it right now! I will provide a join link below.
