dang.. was already trying to put the rum in the crate, then I realised it hadnt started the quest (even though I thought I did), so went back to talk through the dialog again and noticed the quest isnt added yet.
EDIT: Found a game breaking issue with shops, reported to Hektic since he was the only mod online and the website under maintenance.

And as before suggested (silly on my part) the dropdown for date selection is set to the closed beta release date.
