Just stopping by to make my recurring 1-2 year rant post.. It looks like you still haven't taken my constructive criticism seriously? This is probably one of the most depressing sights in the RSPS scene, yet it's cherished and by far one of the longest lasting projects'. I only come off this way because I care about this deeply, it's most of our childhoods. You may have replicated 2007 but you failed to replica it's community driven player-base.

Best of luck, see you again in 2 years.

The server is meant to replicate July 2007 and has yet to be publicly advertised; but thank you for the constructive criticism.

Countless years of perfecting a replica only to have a VERY small amount of players play? No advertising, nothing. I see no point. You can not have a successful server without a playerbase behind it, pre-2007 RS2 would have died long ago if only 10 players were active. You need 100's of players playing to have a success. Hosting this has almost 0 cost or very little to almost nothing, so any "donation" made from the start of this project has gone toward what?

I'm confused and discouraged for what the outcome has been.. I remember back in 2015 when I was first introduced to this only to find a wasteland in 2019.

No one asked for a Helen Keller Ironman Server..

Players like me that started in 2002 are what you should be aiming for.. I don't see ScapeRune being completed soon. I guess I'll give it another 4 years of waiting, but it's too bad there will be little to no one interested in going back to the stone age..OSRS servers would always dominate this type of RSPS meaning whatever type of advertising you plan on creating will not appeal to this new generation of RS players.

If you hand any kid a mixtape they wouldn't know what to do with it, they would ask Alexa what a fucking mixtape is.

    Get my point?

You have created a replica of Runescape just for the sake of it being a replica. This reminds me of Runescape Classic all over again.. a self-hosted/never updated pointless game.. with no potential of gaining a huge playerbase ever, etc. There is a reason it was shutdown for good.

ScapeRune should have some type of membership to play in a P2P scene just like the old days (current day as well), if you wanted a 'free' game for everyone to play you still can but accessing member-only areas, etc. would require some sort of "payment". New Players wishing to become members would need to work hard toward gaining membership somehow not necessarily having to donate but possibly turning in an outrageous amount of gold (cash sinks) or gaining a certain total level.. the list goes on. There are sooo many ways to make ScapeRune great. You can go back in time and look at pre-eoc servers that were dedicated to replicating Runescape; Arios is a prime example. This server lacked a playerbase because it failed in advertising significantly, but it was easily the most in-depth coded pre-eoc server at it's time back in 2012-13, no one competed content wise. I could also blame OSRS for that server perishing.

I will be blunt and say I feel this is just a class project something you put inside your closet to collect dust. A true inventor would want to see their invention be the best it can be, even at a cost.

To answer your question about me donating to your cause there will be no such thing until ScapeRune has proven itself.
So I actually went through every single post you put on my thread just to look for some "constructive criticism", mind pointing it out what exactly was constructive? I made it easy on you and go ahead and quote all of your posts. As far as I see, the only thing debatably "constructive" is where you told me bill the small amount of players we have and for what? A P2P scene would do nothing but divide the player base further. I'm open to constructive criticism and discussion but there is no room for being immature and bashing us for proving YOU a free service.
