How high could your infrastructure expenses even be? I think ScapeRune is a really neat project but from afar it looks like you're burning out emotionally on it (which totally makes sense). It might be worthwhile to take a step back for a few weeks and revisit it later. A lot of these mistakes and disagreements seem minor and recoverable.
Adding on to the above — it might be a good idea to sit down with your team and discuss what you want to do with your project for the future, if you want it merely let the players play and let it run its course or you want to keep it fresh for newcomers, revisit ideas and previous suggestions. Nothing here is a surprise, as stated many of times before.

terrible server, these guys are running from one guy to another to get their bugs fixed
thing1 is a great programmer and has created a great server. In my opinion the player base of rsps is so limited, and to have a server simply focus extensively on a runescape feel you are limiting the potential for your server. I think you should take this server, and keep it up yeah, but maybe try a side experimenter with it. A more rsps feel. It could still be a longevity server with a "rsps" feel. I really love what you have here, and despite the discouragement being received on this thread. You (thing1) should try and open your mind to a new feel.
