    Halloween event was fun, congrats to all that got rewards for those that didn't - well, the "rare" items won't be rare for a little while, purchasing them might still be quite easy

    Lots of potential but it's hitting a dead end route. There really isn't advertising beyond this. This will never jump off with how low the player base is and the lack of "rsps" investment in this, which I know isn't the point. RSPS investment meaning basic things such as a global chat until there are more players, maybe an interface that shows players online or simply an amount (because the website doesn't despite saying it does), and the ability to possibly skip tutorial island, which isn't really ball punching the server but being realistic. XP rates could be another thing, but not a drastic move up.

    Very, very few are going to really invest in this without some change being done - the realistic nature of time being lost randomly is just too much with how most servers operate, which is unfortunate

    I disagree. ScapeRune isn't at an end at all, dead or otherwise. Advertising hasn't started yet, the team is focusing on content and bugs for the time being.

    A player count is available via the wold selector on the login screen and on the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
    Skippy is present and you can talk to him to skip the tutorial.

    The player base has actually been increasing as of late.

    Thank you for recognizing the potential, however I would say that if anything the longer the server is online the better off it is as more work will be done on it. As mentioned many times (even in the page before this one), we have refrained from spending large sums of money on advertisement until we have more features in the game that people will want (such as the rest of the skills, mini-games, and more quests).

    On another note (because the website does despite me saying it does), I will personally link you all to a page where it does show you the amount of people online (which is also shown in the client): [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    To combat the idea of a global chat and ruining the vanilla feel, we have a discord with 250~ people in it. Our community actually voted against a system such as clan chat for the time being or a ::yell.

    Skippy has been in the server since the server launched. If you create a new account and log into the server and start doing Tutorial Island, you will not only find him in the guide's house but roughly 6 times throughout the whole area.

    I feel like a lot of this criticism I receive are from people who haven't spent more than 2 minutes logged into the server and it is crazy to me .

    Not meaning to burst your bubble but I think your players would probably prefer to see new faces over new stuff right now. I know that it's quite a niche server but after all the time and effort you've put in surely you want to see better than this?

    Just my thought anyway.

    Is that what you think? Don't speak for us.

    Each of those players is online because they're not bothered by the low player count. They're playing the game because it's important to them, and they know that if they need to interact with other players, they can leave a message in Discord and be contacted when somebody hops on.

    All the critics keep treating the low player count as if it's some harbinger of doom. It's not that big of a deal at all. ScapeRune is a remake. Unlike conventional private servers which really do hinge completely on player count, a competent remake offers a wealth of single-player content.

    More players is better, sure, but that's just not the point right now.
