1 - What is SyntheX?
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ], somewhat obviously, is a Runescape private server. It has been around for over two years, beginning in September of 2008 under the name Hydrascape. Over the next two years, it garnered popularity and amassed a user base of over 50,000! As of August of 2010, it has been renamed SyntheX. The server is updated by MDMA and Xerox, while the forum is administrated by Kevin. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is truly an amazing gaming experience for anyone wanting the experience of old Runescape, or even old Runescape servers.. ~Integrated vBulletin Forums~

The vBulletin forums used for SyntheX are fully integrated with the server, meaning that you have to register on Synthex.net in order to play on the server. It also means that when you donate for a subscription, like a Bandos Godsword or Platinum Donor, that you will get it automatically.


~Achievements System~

The achievements system is a completely unique system to SyntheX, yet it is in some respects similar to RuneScape's Achievement Diaries. You have set tasks to finish, like playing for one hour, up to killing 400 people in the wilderness. You can see a picture of the Achievements tab here. There are 22 achievements.




~PK Point System~

The PK point system in of itself is not unique to SyntheX, but we have modified the traditional pk point system into a completely unique form! Most PK point systems have only one type of point with one rewards store. SyntheX has two point systems, one for Multi PK points, and Non-Multi (Traditional) PK Points. Each system has a separate store, with various items like Guthix armor and RFD gloves, to Mystic Armor!


~Clue Scroll System~

SyntheX has a custom clue scroll system, completely coded by our staff. There are three levels of clues, varying in difficulty. There are a number of different rewards - you can get 10gp, or valuable items not available anywhere else.


~PKing System~

The PK system in SyntheX has been worked on since the beginning of Hydrascape, and is now perfected. Melee, range, and magic timers all work. Ranged is coded separately from melee and magic, making it perfect. Wilderness levels all work, and the skull timer works as well. All protection prayers and boosting prayers are perfectly coded as well. Most other private servers get a little lazy, but SyntheX has perfected the PKing system, so it is just like Runescape from 2007, with a few twists!


~Custom Minigames~

SyntheX has 4 custom minigames, 3 currently playable, with one in the works and almost completed. None of these have been seen in Runescape private servers before!

~Battle~

Battle is the oldest SyntheX minigame, and has been around since the beginning of Hydrascape. In Battle, you try and survive 9 waves of monsters, ranging from giant rats to demons to King Black Dragons! (Yes, that's plural). You have to use your wits and all your skills to defeat them and win points to redeem for weapons and armor like Barrows, Dragon Full Helms, or Blood Runes.




~Last Man Standing~

Last Man Standing is like Fight Pits from Runescape. It is a free-for-all battle that takes place in the duel arena, where the victor gets points he can redeem at the Battle rewards shop. It is a fun minigame to see who is the top dog in SyntheX!




~Team PvP~

Team PvP is a team-based PvP minigame (that was sort of obvious) where you try to win by controlling a flag. One user holds the flag, while the rest of the team defends him. If your team holds the flag for 200 seconds, you win.



~ZombiesX~

ZombiesX is an upcoming Nazi Zombies style minigame, where you as a single person or group try to fend off waves of zombies. Here are a few development pictures.













~Integrated Forums + Server

The vBulletin forums used for SyntheX are completely integrated with the server, meaning if you are given the donor rank on the forums you will be given it instantly ingame as well. The same goes with donations for items. To see the donation options, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] There are working hiscores updated when you log out, and your current total level is featured under your username every time you post on the SyntheX forums!

~Custom Bosses~

SyntheX has many bosses, some of which are not even featured as bosses in RuneScape! There are several at the present moment, like the Kalphite Queen, and over 3 in production and testing right now. There is no reason to ever be bored with so much to do in SyntheX!
