Thread: Advertising Section Rules[1/1/10]

When posting in the Rs2 Server Advertise section, you must make sure you follow the following rules, guidelines, and expectations. If you don't, you are liable to be infracted, or have action taken upon you/your thread. This is your warning.

• Follow ALL other [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. The spam/flame rules are strictly enforced here.
• Do not "post-for-count". This means posts like "nice" or "gj" aren't allowed. Really put effort into feedback if you are going to give it.
• Harassing users about "leeching" or not giving "credits" is not tolerated. If you know they leeched, then good for you.
• Posts known as "flamebait" or "trolling" are not allowed. For example, "lol try actually coding", wouldn't be allowed.
• Criticism must be given if you are going to reply with a negative response! If you are going to reply with "eww" or "ugly", your post will be deleted. Criticism such as "I don't like __ because __" is very much encouraged.
• Treat people how you want to be treated! If you don't want people flaming/harassing you, don't flame them.
• Provide pictures that you took by yourself and features in your thread, take time and pride in your thread. If pictures are not included your thread is liable to be deleted/locked.
• You must include a webclient, IP, or another type of way to connect in your thread.
• False advertising is not allowed. This includes:
  
  • Giving fake information about a VPS or dedicated server.
  • Posting pictures that are not yours and aren't actually in the server.
  • Lieing to users(e.g. "free mod" if they won't actually get it).
  
  
• Bumping is not allowed. This is when you reply to a topic with "bump", as it is spam, it is against the rules.

Advertising Notice
Advertising your website is a big concern and is misunderstood every day. Here is clarification; you may post your link to the website ONCE in the original post on your thread. You may not repost it, and the thread must be of a certain length so it is not merely to advertise your website. The website will be checked once a week by moderators. The website can contain forums, blogs and anything that doesn't harm anyone and that doesn't break our forum rules.

These rules may be updated at any time by any moderator, and when updated the title will change.
