I can confirm gradle and intellij are a hot mess. I'll post my Fuck Gradle scrap book once I get my dozens of screenshots together.

Intellij and maven work so much better together in my personal experience. Maven is ugly but it works.

Mavens uniformity is also desirable in some ways: When you work with other people on large projects conformity significantly reduces error or time to introduce someone to the project. Gradles flexibility can also be a downside because builds can become more difficult to manage for outsiders.

Gradle at home as most of my personal projects are Java.
NuGet at work as I'm a software engineer at a company that uses C# as the primary language .

+1 for Maven. It's so much more maintainable for huge projects. Rarely any build should be so complicated that the benefits of Gradle start to show.

I also thought there was something wrong with this tutorial. Thanks for proving that I’m not alone in this.
I’ve been trying to master API testing for the last month, and it turned out to be more difficult than I expected. I need to use an api testing free tool at work, but progress has been slow. I should really start speeding things up.
To be honest, I’ve never even thought I would be doing IT-related work. I was a school teacher, for Pete’s Sake. Ah, the intricacies of life.
