Would make it easier for beginners to request help; as we can give them examples that will work for any revision they could think of

Doesn't RuneSource have a basic Plugin system in Java.

    I think that's called RuneScript.

Yeah but I never liked it tbh. No offence to Blake, but it didn't look like a great deal of time was spent on it and I always considered it pointless. I presume that's why BFMV removed it in Azure too.

You keep mistaking this thread as a discussion about a cutesie little script implementation. It's about a full-blown API for content and basically anything you could ever imagine. All of that can be accomplished without even modifying the core (server).

Most servers have useless systems like that.

Mgi is writing a script system for Joltv2 (both the core and the scripts will be written in C#, but the principle is the same), where all content (even things like skills afaik) is written as scripts.

Something like this in Java would be cool.

Runescript is a scripting language they've written. We're not talking about writing our own scripting language.

Sorry I meant to quote stuart. He asked if runescape had their own scripting in java.

Correct me if i'm wrong but this thread IS about writing our own scripting language/API.
