    I don't know if these threads has been created but I was thinking to make one anyways.

    Simple question: What are you looking for in a server, what makes you want to play a server?

    For 1, a non buggy server with dupes patched obviously.

    Also a server that doesn't have everything after godswords were created

    a good community with an active forum.

    active pking but not so hard to make cash but can be difficult to

    and me being staff on it.

    an active owner making updates and patching bugs as the players find them, fixing shops etc making polls on what the players want in shop but owner knows what to put and shops and what not to.

    double xp for first week, easier drop rates for the first week to start an eco

    I look for the following things:

    • Economy - each usable item in the server must have a rough price. Of course, just as in the real world; prices can change and fluctuate, but there must always be a rough cost for the item. The amount items cost must reflect their statistics, their abilities, their rarity and the willingness of players to buy them.
    • Stability - without stability a server is nothing. It must function correctly with a minimal amount of glitches/bugs. Efficiency is also paramount, when I click an object I want a reaction ASAP, not in 20 seconds after 1,000 clicks.
    • Originality - the code, script and general gameplay must be original. No "herp derp press button tele 2 lumb n pk lul" and no "lol dl serv host it 5 bil plyrs pls." I look for servers that have original ideas, things that haven't been done before. Also, I like servers that don't just use RuneScape-only content; for example, a server which might have a new range of armour based from custom models. I am against the idea of using content from later revisions in public builds; for example, using godswords on a 317 server. If I wanted to hit people with an overpowered, dildo-resembling object, I'd go and do it on the revision it was designed for, not a poorly-made piece of bullshit.


    To conclude, I look for original, stable servers with a decent economy which reflects the item's true value.

    What about the client? You looking for a old gameframe or new? Newer animations & gfxs or older, what about these things?
