Someone has been creating accounts at my website with a proxy and then posting a URL that contains a botnet (exe based). The bot allows the hacker to control the infected users computer.Well, it all started about a week ago. Someone pmed me telling me to go to some webclient for battlescape where you can spawn items.
So i went to it, and it showed some screenshot of palidino so i just closed it out. Hours later, my screen flashed black, my mouse froze, and someone was controlling my pc.
I shut my pc off, and didn't know what to do. I Came back on a little later and it happened again, so i turned my pc off, logged back on.
The bot is placed on the users computer by a Java applet, so they don't have to download anything to be infected.
How would such a bot be removed? I don't know what to tell the players that have been hacked (since the bot is still on their computer).
Using AVG!
delete any .jar in startup sir.
1) Hold the windows key and press "R".
2) Type msconfig into the field
3) Go to startup tab and check off anything that is not familiar and random letters etc. (like dsfnsd.exe).
4) Restart computer
IF the hacker tries to control the computer while you're trying to do this, start your computer up in safe mode without networking and he wont be able to. To start up your computer in safe mode, it's usually F11 (press and hold), but it can be others.
