every time i look at servers they are all got customs, does anyone even remember the old times of rs, cos all of these servers doesn't remind us of old rs, basically 317 and 377 servers are fucked up. i never see a real 317 or a real 377, and if u like all the new graphics and stuff just convert your source to work on 508 or something its not rocket science.
No there isn't.
People add to their servers what people want, and unfortunatly..it's non-default stuff, along with the lack of knowlege among the RSPS community..customs will always be here.
In a way, I rather certain revisions with certain items. I don't want any remake bullshit.
ok, i dont mind customs like, if there is a model or something lost in the cache and dont work and u add it customily like what i did with 508/525 then thats fine, but stupid stuff like guns, and new version of that model, e.g all scimitars changed with the new scimitars of that version which is kinda stupid, pretty much 525+ is like the only sources that done have customs, well they could if people wanted to.Quote:

who are you to tell people what to do? RSPS isn't meant to "remind the old days". People do what they want with their servers. I also see no point at all in having some shitty few polygon models and few frame animations when you can have a nice new ones from high revisions.
I agree that guns, cars etc. shouldn't be put on servers because it's just lame, but custom items from runescape age that look better is good.
well if people dont like the old stuff, just move to a higher revision, because customs can cause the server to fuck up and stuff and lag like fuck.

Everyone complains that "oo we want a 317", yet 317 era has fuck all to do. There are 3 melee styles that you can pk with that people are gonna use (whip, dds and dharoks), there's no decent prayers, the only thing that can hit high is dharoks, etc.
I upgrade my shit because more content = more fun.

And it couldn't be laggy, it may take a few seconds longer to load the new models or what ever when you start client but it wouldn't lagg at all in-game.
I agree with Scu, more new content = more fun
