    Havn't checked the one in the post but i use this one, pick any colour from the screen and get RGB and hex.

    Also you do know that hex colours are as the following;

    RRGGBB, the hexidecimal base (base 16) means that if the value is the maximum for a 2 digit hexidecimal number, being ff, it would be 255.

    So, if for example you had white, which in RGB is 255, 255, 255, the hexidecimal colour is ffffff, as it's maxed, so if you know how base 16 works you can generate hex colour from rgb.
