Nice work! good job on attention to detail with underlay blending and use of shapes and ground decor, I also like how it gets colder at higher elevation...
I would suggest (what most seem to overlook) is making sure all water is the same height at every corner/shape, I personally think it looks really cheap when water runs up the side of a hill, but I've also been guilty of paying too much attention to detail haha.
Also, maybe consider using a less visually straining texture for pathways, I get the inclination but less is sometimes more
overall nice work though, impressive for a first map.
